As you may know I am a proud sponsor of The Brain Tumour Charity as it's very close to my heart as I have had close friends and family who have been diagnosed. The fact that less than 2% of the overall Cancer Research funding goes to this charity also inspires me to want to help to make a difference.

I also love to be able to help other charities and worthy causes along the way. Please do get in touch if you have any fundraising ideas...! x

Saturday 7th March

The first fundraising event of the Year was for Brain Tumour Awareness Month which is the Charity’s annual excuse to indulge in cake, biscuits, pies, brownies or the humble crumble, all for a really good cause - beating brain tumours.

With the help of homebakes from myself, family and donated cakes from local businesses, In total we raised £270.00 which 100% has been donated to The Brain Tumour Charity.

Saturday 5th October

On Saturday 5th October 2019 to celebrate the second anniversary of Watson Wigs, I invited people to my shop to have their hair cut and for it to be donated to The Little Princess Trust. In my shop was the hairdresser Katie Smith (My Dollz Hair) who cut five brave ladies/girls hair;

Lisa Phillips, Nicci Thorn, Katie Fisher, Sophie Moore, Emily Everett

Including the donated hair brought to me before the event we had in total

95.5 inches of hair.

Outside my shop I had Rapunzel entertaining the children with glitter nails and tattoos, along with cupcakes and teddies for a donation and a raffle table with amazing prizes donated from local businesses in Wickford.

In total we raised £600.00 which was split between The Brain Tumour Charity & The Little Princess Trust.

 Friday 7th June

As you know on Facebook you can opt to start a fundraiser on/around your Birthday.

This year I chose to raise money for St. Luke's Hospice to coincide with Father's Day and we raised  £50

Friday 22nd March

Every March, The Brain Tumour Charity kicks off with Brain Tumour Awareness Month (BTAM) by baking a difference for everyone affected by brain tumours - with the Big Bandana Bake.

I held a Big Bandana Bake outside my shop on Friday 22nd March 2019 to raise money & awareness for the charity to help beat brain tumours and raised £340 which I was so overwhelmed with how generous everyone was!

Sunday 7th October

For my one year shop anniversary I had a fully qualified hairdresser cutting donated hair (including 10 inches of my own) at my shop, for The Little Princess Trust.

The Little Princess Trust is a charity which provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young adults up to the age of 24 who have sadly lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other medical conditions.

All together we raised over £320 and donated 112 inches of hair....!

All monetary donations on the day were also split 50/50 between The Brain Tumour Charity & The Little Princess Trust.

Saturday 24th February

Sadly I lost my Dad in 2017 through lung cancer which in the last weeks it came to light he had a Brain Tumour from the cancer spreading. His last day was spent at St Luke's Hospice and I will always be thankful for the kindness we received there.

I held a charity night at a local pub to celebrate his love of football, golf and darts and thanks to local business helped with an amazing raffle where we raised  £250!

All monetary donations on the day were also split 50/50 between The Brain Tumour Charity & St Luke's Hospice.

Thursday 31st May

As you may be aware on Facebook you can opt to start a fundraiser on/around your Birthday.
